... because all that glitters is not gold

Contemplation
When the wells of logical expectations, feeling, imagination, and intellectual understanding run dry, when obfuscation threatens to turn to despair, and when it seems impossible imaginatively to feel God's existence and goodness in the face of some concrete fact, but we continue to live in an openness which refuses to set limits, then we are contemplating. It is also then, and only then, that we have our shoes off before the burning bush, that we are living in wonder, and are letting God be God.
